Board Celebrates Feast of St. John the Baptist in Houston
The Houston region observed the feast of our patron, St. John the Baptist, in a Mass on June 23 celebrated by His Eminence Daniel Cardinal DiNardo, Conventual Chaplain ad honorem, and concelebrated by Rev. R. Luke Millette, Associate Chaplain of the Order.
The day began with the Federal Association Board of Directors meeting, with Houston region leaders reporting on our service to the sick and the poor, including slide shows and videos about our work in the VA Hospital, KSHJ defense of the faith radio, Martha’s Kitchen, prison ministry and the Mamie George Community Center.
During the Mass at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Cardinal DiNardo received the Baliff Grand Cross of Honor and Devotion. President Margaret Melady, DM, presented this honor on behalf of the Grand Master.
The observance of the feast day concluded with dinner at the Coronado Club in downtown Houston.
