Young Professionals Put on Capital Ball

The first Capital Knights Ball, hosted by the Young Professionals of the Order of Malta-Federal Association, was held in Washington, D.C. on May 20th. Our committee of knights, dames and auxiliary members hosted guests from all three U.S. associations, the American, the Western and the Federal, as well as attendees from the Netherlands, Belgium, Monaco and Italy. The black-tie event was open to all members and friends of the Order, with proceeds benefiting the works of the auxiliary. The opening reception was held Friday at DACOR Bacon House to welcome visitors to Washington, D.C. On Saturday evening, guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner and dancing into the wee hours of the morning at the after party co-hosted by Catherine Demaree, Candidate and Kahu Ludwig, KM.

The 150 guests celebrated the Holy Family Hospital, the International Summer Camp for People with Disabilities USA Team, and other projects of the Federal Association. To complete the weekend, The Order was recognized at Saint Matthew’s Cathedral at Sunday Mass.
