Malades Prepared for Pilgrimage at Montgomery County Anointing Mass

On Saturday, March 5^th the DC, Montgomery County and Southern Maryland regions held their 10^th Annual Lourdes Anointing Mass at Our Lady of Mercy Church. The principal celebrant, Msgr. John Enzler, Chaplain to the Board of the Federal Association, was joined by six other concelebrating priests.

More than 300 malades and companions attended the Mass to receive this special sacrament of anointing, each of them being presented with Lourdes water from our 2015 pilgrimage, a Miraculous Medal and a holy card.  Prayer petitions were handed out and completed for the 2016 pilgrimage. In this way, the malades were linked to last year’s pilgrimage and to their forthcoming one this year.

Knights and Dames attending the Mass assisted in various ways, picking up malades at the local metro stop, getting them into the church and helping to serve at the luncheon following the Mass.
