Jacksonville Holds Anointing Mass

The Jacksonville region held its second annual Healing Mass on the Feast Day of our Lady of Lourdes last month. The Knights and Dames provided advance information about it to nursing homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centers and long-term care facilities. The Mass was publicized as well in parish bulletins throughout the Diocese of St. Augustine.
Hundreds attended, including the sick and their companions who were anointed by six priests.
Jane R. Lanier, DM, spoke briefly about the Order of Malta before Mass. Former hospitaller Lou Walsh, KM led the organizational effort, which was a huge success. It was a beautiful day honoring Our Blessed Mother Mary while serving the malades in our area.
