Houston Region Malades Anointed at Feast Day Mass

The friends, family and those with special needs were hosted by the Houston region in an Anointing Mass on the Feast Day of Our Lady of Lourdes, February 11 at St. Mary’s Seminary. The region has hosted an Anointing Mass for many years, always closely tied to the feast day.

This year’s event was more intimate, focusing on friends and family of our members who could specially benefit from the sacrament. Celebrated by Rev. Luke Millette, a chaplain of the Order, the Mass provided an anointing for 30 people, with their families in attendance. Included within this group were former Lourdes Malades and Malades expecting to make the pilgrimage this year. As a remembrance of the event, those anointed were given prayer cards, a Miraculous Medal, and water from Lourdes. After the Mass the Order hosted a reception for the guests and their families.
