HEADLINES:

 

During Investiture weekend the Cross of Merit awards were bestowed upon Mary Anne Clancy, DM; Thaddeus J. Makarewicz, Esq., KMOb; Margaret Knott Riehl, DM; L. Charles Scholz, KM; and posthumously upon E. Burns McLindon, KM. The Cross of Commander of Merit was conferred on Stephen Diaz Gavin, Esq., KM.

The Presidents Awards were given to Craig Jarchow, KM; C. Claire McCormick, KM; and Wayne Ruth, KM for extraordinarily overcoming the challenges during the 2014 Pilgrimage to Lourdes.

The Knightly Order of Merit was established in 1920 to give recognition to individuals who have provided special service to, or who have conferred honor and prestige on the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. Originally awarded to non-members of the Order, it has been bestowed also upon Knights, Dames, and Chaplains of the Order in recognition of special dedication and service.  The President's Awards are given to those members who have rendered special service to the Federal Association.
