Oklahoma City Publishes Children's Prayer Book

Earlier this spring the Oklahoma City Region received our first printing of “Essential Prayers for Children,” which was written, designed, and illustrated by members of the region.
This keepsake-quality book contains 44 Catholic prayers that every child should know and includes age-appropriate illustrations in the manner of iconography, preparing young readers to encounter sacred art. And now the task of providing a copy to every third-grade student in Catholic schools across the state of Oklahoma has begun.
Knights, dames, and candidates are fanning out to visit classrooms to share this gift.
We know we need to teach our children to speak, to read, to ride a bike, to drive a car. As we strive to help our children become saints, we also need to teach them how to pray. We hope this book is a tool that families will use to pray with.
