Members Appointed to International Posts

Congratulations to Craig Jarchow, KM on his appointment to the Order of Malta International Investment Committee and Michele Bowe, DM on her appointment as Minister Counselor to the Representative Office of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Ramallah!

On December 6 the Sovereign Council approved the nomination of Craig Jarchow to be a member of the Order's Investment Committee that oversees the Order's investment portfolio.

Headed by H.E. Winfried Graf Henckel von Donnersmarck, a member of the Sovereign Council, the committee has five other members: Richard Fitzalan Howard, president of the British Association and chairman of the Flemming Partners; Peter Scherkamp, treasurer of the German Association and CEO of Bavarian Ducal; Charles de Germiny, director of Pictet & Cie Geneva/London; Fausto Solaro del Borgo, CEO of Foglia group of banks and finance companies, Milan; and Craig Jarchow, member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Association and President of Upstream Oil & Gas for Castleton Commodities International.

Congratulations to Craig on his appointment as the only American on this committee.

On December 6 the Sovereign Council confirmed the appointment of Michele Bowe, DM, to the role of Minister Counsellor to the Representative Office of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Ramallah, Palestine where she will serve with H.E. Ambassador Justin S. Simpson, KM. 

Ambassador Justin S. Simpson, states, “It is the Grand Chancellor and my mutual belief that Michele’s appointment to this significant post, particularly suited as she is to the mission, will create the opportunity further to enhance the knowledge of our members of the important work of the Order in the Middle East.”

Michele has for some time been of significant assistance to the Order through her work as president of the board of the Holy Family Hospital of Bethlehem Foundation, as a member of the international board of the hospital itself, and as a member of Malteser International. She is a frequent visitor to the region, and has often joined H.E. Ambassador Justin S. Simpson in activities on behalf of the Order in Palestine.
