KC Chapter Holds St. John the Baptist Mass

Congregation of Knights, Dames, those in formation, family and friends at the Mass.

The Kansas City Chapter of the Order of Malta held its annual St. John the Baptist Mass June 14 in in the beautiful, intimate, Spanish Mission style St. Joseph Chapel in Visitation Church. Fr. Pat Rush, the pastor, was the celebrant, and Knights and Dames renewed their commitment to the Order. Fifty people, including family, friends and candidates in formation, attended.

After Mass the group enjoyed dinner, fun, and friendship at the home of Marlys  Haverty (who is in formation) and her husband Mike Haverty K.M. Jim Lynch, co-hospitaller of the chapter, announced that the process for Federal Board approval of Fr. Pat Rush as our associate chaplain was underway. He also informed everyone that Tom Weiford has agreed to become the next hospitaller of the region, taking office at the next investiture.
