Jacksonville Year of Spiritual Renewal

In July, the Jacksonville Region gathered for a presentation as part of the series on spirituality planned by our associate chaplain, the Rev. John Tetlow.  Father John invited a Catholic priest from the Diocese of Orlando, Father Dominic, who is studying in Rome, for a presentation titled "Snapshots of the Church". The talk focused on the accomplishments of St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Benedict, providing a beautiful history and strong messages about the endurance of our Catholic faith. Father Dominic also shared recent travel experiences to the Holy Land that tied to the theme.

The evening began with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament followed by the inspirational talk and reflection and ended with a reception held at the wonderfully renovated Marywood Retreat Center, which is part of the Diocese of St. Augustine.
