Jacksonville Retreat Held Amid Windswept Views

The Jacksonville Region Retreat was held February 2-4 at the Ritz Carlton, Amelia Island. From the beautiful, wind-swept oaks to the spectacular Atlantic Ocean and white beaches, God’s majestic creation welcomed knights and dames from Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, Washington, D.C. and, of course, from the North Florida area.

The Rev. Richard Mullins, pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Washington, and chaplain for the Lourdes pilgrimage in 2017 and 2018, was the retreat master. Father Mullins engaged everyone with his thought-provoking messages of renewal, mercy, forgiveness, hope, and the joy of living our Catholic faith. We enjoyed daily Mass, Stations of the Cross, the scriptural rosary, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and Benediction.

The Jacksonville Region’s retreat is open to all knights and dames; we will release the dates and location for 2019 soon. We are grateful to Jerry Weedon, KM, past hospitaller of the region, for planning and executing the details of this successful retreat.
