Jacksonville Celebrates Anointing Mass

The Jacksonville Region Anointing Mass was held on Saturday February 15 with hundreds attending. Our new Hospitaller, Dr. Pat Hutton welcomed the malades and their companions and thanked Mass Chair, Dr. Jeff Edwards for his successful work on this signature regional project. He also recognized the American Association and thanked them for participating with us.

Mass was concelebrated by Bishop Emeritus Felipe Estevez and several Diocesan priests who also anointed the sick. Bishop Estevez thanked the Order of Malta and recognized the excellent choir and musicians from Jacksonville University who led the liturgical music for the Mass. The Anointing Mass is held annually on a date close to the Feast Day of Our Lady of Lourdes.
