DeSales President to Lead DC Retreat
The Rev. James F. Greenfield, OSFS, who recently assumed the presidency of DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, will be the retreat master for an Order of Malta retreat in the Washington, DC area on February 9-11. Father Greenfield has long been a friend of the Order, but tells us that he “really learned what the Order is all about” when he joined us in Lourdes in 2017 as chaplain on the Blue Team.
His focus for the retreat will be on the relationship between service and spirituality in the charism of the Order.
Father Greenfield is well known in the Washington area as an instructor in human development at both George Washington University and the Washington Theological Union. He is also a gifted pastoral counselor and a frequent presider at Holy Trinity and other DC parishes.
Father Greenfield’s February retreat will be held at the Bolger Center in Potomac, Maryland, beginning with dinner on Friday the 9th and ending after Sunday Mass on the 11th. A few spaces are still available for members, candidates, members of the Auxiliary and potential candidates. The full cost of the retreat is $495 for a single room and $450 each for two people sharing a room.
