Cross pro Merito Melitensi
On Wednesday, December 2, the Cross pro Merito Melitensi was bestowed upon the following Knights of the Order of Malta Federal Association:
- Thomas C. Gaspard, KM - Tom was invested as a Knight of Magistral Grace in the Federal Association in 1991, and has served on the Federal Association Board of Directors for two terms. He also served as Chair of the Human Resources Committee, which provided professional parameters to guide the management of the Association office and staff. Tom has also served on the Association Nominating Committee, which identifies worthy candidates for Association offices and committees. He was very involved in the disaster relief project centered in New Orleans. In addition, he has made several pilgrimages to Lourdes.
- Thomas E. Weiford, KMOb - Tom has been a Knight of Magistal Grace in the Federal Association since 2003 and recently made a Promise of Obedience in Lourdes this past May. Tom served on the Federal Association Board of Directors for two terms. He also served as Association Treasurer. Tom has served on the Finance Committee for nearly ten years, with five years as Chair. He has also served on the Executive, Nominating, Strategic Planning Committees. Tom has attended the Lourdes Pilgrimage seven times in addition to being involved in various service projects in the local region of the Federal Association in which he resides.
Greg Granitto, KM was recognized for his service as Chancellor. He was invested as a Knight of Magistral Grace in the Federal Association in 2001. For the past six years, Greg served as Chancellor of the Association and will be relinquishing this role at the end of 2015. As Chancellor, Greg has utilized his skills as an attorney to provide countless hours of dedication, talent and counsel to the Board of Directors. During this time, he provided guidance to three different Association presidents. He has also served on the Formation Committee and has made several pilgrimages to Lourdes. Greg was awarded the Cross of Commander pro Merito Melitensi in 2012.
